Throughout June we asked you to share your thoughts on how Target Sprint can be further developed to attract more people to our fantastic sport.
We heard from coaches, parents, athletes, event organisers and regional centre/ hub coordinators about how they themselves had helped with growing our community and where they though the focus should be moving forwards.
The passion of those involved in Target Sprint really shone through as did several themes;
- The need to continue to build partnerships with youth focused organisations like the cadets and scouts and to develop relationships with schools and colleges.
- The role of social and traditional media in marketing and promoting the sport to new audiences
- The need for more activity hubs able to facilitate and deliver training and events.
All of your feedback has been consolidated and we now intend to convene a working group to support the updating and further development of our Target Sprint Strategy and plans for the next five years.
