We hope our Target Sprint community are well and looking forward to getting back into fun, safe activity in the coming months.
As we look ahead positively, we at British Shooting appreciate and are sensitive to the uncertain times we’ve all been living through and want to focus on an enjoyable safe return to Target Sprint, our sport for all.
Covid-19 has impacted on every sport, competition and training environment across the UK and beyond in recent months, throwing “normal” up into the air. We understand this is no different for our Target Sprint community. We at British Shooting were devastated to be forced to cancel our 2020 Target Sprint events programme, which included multiple opportunities for athletes to tussle for top spot on the ranking lists.
As we look forward to the “new normal”, we want to support our Target Sprint community of athletes, hubs, regional centres, event organisers and volunteers getting back up and running in a fun, unpressurised, safe manner. And as such wish to confirm that the Ranking List has been suspended until 2021.
We are delighted to hear and support our Hubs and Regional Centres planning their safe return to face-to-face training and ultimately, competition. We would like to remind you to please keep in close contact for updates from the body you’re affiliated to and insured by, e.g. NSRA, WTSF, STS, Scouting, or Cadets.
We hope that as time moves on our existing and new audience can engage with these opportunities, as well as safely continue their remote activity.
The 2021 Selection Policy and confirmed domestic events calendar will be published by September.
