Covid-19 has sparked the imagination and creativity in the minds of the nation, as people devise ingenious ways to exercise at home during the lockdown period.
This story is no different for the father-son combination of Jonathan and Harry Osbaldiston who have created their own target sprint course in their backyards.
Harry aged 17 and Jonathan (50) are both Biathlon and Nordic Ski fans and part of the club Cairngorm Biathlon and Nordic Ski Club in the northeast of Scotland.
Jonathan went on to say: “we recently bought a Larsen Laser Biathlon Target system. With the recent lockdown, we have adapted things to create our own backyard laser Target Sprint.
“We run twice around the local block, which is 500m approx. then shoot standing in the garden. Harry and I mix up the number of running loops and shooting sessions we do at one time depending on how long or short we want to make it, but our favourite so far is 4 runs and 4 shoots which equals 2km overall.
“It’s great fun for us both and there is a little father-son rivalry too!”
