Want to represent Great Britain?
British Shooting select athletes to compete for Great Britain on the international stage, of which Target Sprint is no different. A Selection Panel select athletes who have competed in that year’s GB Ranking Events to compete in ISSF competitions. For more information, please read our current SELECTION POLICY.
Want to be British Champion? – (35mm targets/400m run)
Annually British Shooting run an open British Championships, which is the pinnacle of the Super League events. The British Championships is open to all and accommodates Female, Male, Junior and Senior athletes.
The British Championships is run to ISSF standard and thus uses 35mm diameter targets and 3x 400m running loops.
The British Championships is worth double Super League points.
Super League – (35mm targets/400m run)
The Super League is series of ISSF standard races open to all around the country. Athletes attain points at each event according to their final positioning. *Double points are available at the British Championships.
The athletes with the most points at the end of the season will be crowned “Super League Champion”.
Want to be a National Series Champion? – (49.5mm targets/400m run)
Annually British Shooting run an open National Series of events around the country accommodating different levels of experience, age categories and genders. Top athletes from these qualify for the National Final, where the Champions are crowned.
The National Series is open and accessible to all. Equipment can be provided, so all you need is a pair of trainers and the desire to have-a-go. We Welcome you to join us.
Target Sprint Competitions
There are many competitions around the country where you can simply enter Target Sprint races. As well as youth groups such as the Scouts who have competitions within their movement. You can be crowned the Scout Target Sprint Champion and so much more.
